I officially finished all my classes and finals for my masters, and I am so relieved! Since finishing, I have been watching a gross amount of “Parks and Rec” and a doing a whole lot of nothing. It feels a little anti-climatic, but I will be a graduate in just a couple of weeks once everything is finalized.
My friend Hannah’s (and her twin sister Helen’s) birthday was yesterday, and we had a little social distance gathering in her front lawn. The weather in Houston was actually nice in the early evening (shocking!), and it was a really good time. The night before, I had decorated posters to put in her front lawn as a surprise.
It was quite thrilling putting them in her lawn late at night because there has not been much of a reason to go out lately. It was also so fun to make these and not have to think about studying, which is all I had been doing the last week! We had a lot of fun celebrating Hannah and Helen, all while being spread out 6 feet apart!
I said I wouldn’t cook much during finals, but that was a lie. It was a great stress reliever! Some highlights included these cauliflower tacos with homemade flour tortillas and these NYC Levain Bakery inspired cookies.
I had been to Levain before when I was little and again in summer 2018 when I visited Jake in NYC during his job training 🙂 These cookies were almost identical to the ones we had!
Have a great rest of your weekend! Thanks for reading!
In love with those cookies!
100% recommend the tortilla recipe! It’s incredible! 10/10
Wow! Those cookies look like a whole meal and the tortillas look yummy!
Haha, the cookies are massive – you’re not wrong! Thank you!
I could literally taste these cookies again seeing pictures of it… one of the best things you have ever done.
