Cinnamon roll traditions – 3 years so far

Today, Zach and I made cinnamon rolls. Since 2020, we have made them each year, so it has become sort of a tradition! Each year we have done a slightly different recipe, all from Half Baked Harvest. Next year, we are thinking of changing things up and doing a recipe from our grandma on our mom’s side instead.

2022 – gingerbread brioche cinnamon rolls
2021 – brown butter iced mocha cinnamon rolls
2020 – eggnog cinnamon rolls

This year, the icing was definitely much thicker than prior years! It’s fun seeing the comparison, and even more fun to use our mom’s vintage Kitchen Aid stand mixer every year (the only time it really gets pulled out). As Zach says, “it adds to the experience.”
